processing

Processing started as an experiment transforming geometric coded animations into prints. This series expanded the idea of pressing the shutter by using a line of code to capture animation stills. These stills were layered with photos of animations taken at varying shutter speeds to create collages. This process became pivotal in developing my artistic practice and started my ongoing library of stills and photos that I continue to use and add to. This series consists of ten 25” square prints, each made from a different animation.

Processing was on display at Northeastern Illinois University in December 2018.
